New CD "De Fez a Jerez" released

The record features songs recorded in Jerez, Spain with some of the living legends of flamenco, including Diego del Morao, Tomasa La Macanita and Luis de Perikin. Also on the CD are some of Portland's greatest musicians; Bobak Salehi, Damian Erskine, Bill Athens, Manavihare Fiaindratovo and Kendra Carpenter.

Seffarine's CD and release concert and CD are funded in part by the Regional Arts & Culture Council.

Seffarine Awarded RACC Project Grant to Record in Spain

Seffarine guitarist Nat Hulskamp was awarded a project grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council to record Seffarine's CD in Spain!

The recording sessions will begin in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain in collaboration with renowned flamenco artists such as singer Tomasa la Macanita, guitarist Diego del Morao and percussionist Luís de Perikín. Additional sessions will take place in Portland with regular Seffarine partners Bobak Salehi, Bill Athens, Damian Erskine and Manavihare Fiaindratovo.
